The seaside city council has appointed Alissa Kispersky to fill the vacancy created when Kayla Jones left in December. The council decided to fill the post by appointment, instead of calling a special election….at least in-part because of the cost of holding a special election. Kispersky, who is scheduled to be sworn-in thursday evening, has had a seat on the Planning Commission, which she will have to give up.
