In a Facebook post earlier today, Santa Cruz police chief Andy Mills announced that both sides of the city council recall petition are under investigation for voter intimidation. Councilmembers Drew Glover and Chris Krohn are being targeted by a group called Citizens United that says it wants to “rebalance city government.”
Here’s what Chief Mills had to say on Facebook:
“@SantaCruzPolice have received voter intimidation complaints regarding the #recall. We take these complaints seriously and have an open investigation. Both those for & against the recall made complaints. We understand this topic stirs passion because there is a lot at stake.”
