When shopping, stay alert and try to avoid shopping alone. During a transaction, keep an eye on your credit card and keep your number shielded from others. Always lock your car, close all windows, and have your key in hand and ready when returning to your car. For safe travels, have non-alcoholic beverages, designate a sober driver, make alternate arrangements, and don’t let a friend or party-goer get behind the wheel of a car if they have been drinking. If you witness a drunk driver on the road, call 911 and report the vehicle and location.
