A fire was started by downed power lines in Scotts Valley this morning. Shortly after 10:30 a.m. a fire broke out on Bean Creek Road. The area was closed to traffic while fire fighters controlled the blaze and pgand e worked to restore power to Scvots Valley high and more than a thousand households. The roadway was re opened shortly after noon.
