State lawmakers have spared nearly 250-million dollars worth of cuts to school bus services. Education officials throughout the state were preparing for the cuts, which were set to be 248-million-dollars. the assembly has approved redirecting the cuts elsewhere, and the state senate is expected to follow suit. (The governor has already stated his support for keeping the funds in the school bus program.) The change to S.B.-81 will allow local school district officials to decide what to cut instead.
