The southbound lane of Highway 1 in Carmel will be subject to closure tomorrow. A fourth mile paving project between Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a detour at Carmel Valley Road and 15 minute delays are anticipated. This work is being performed as a safety precaution to provide motorists and bicyclists a safer route to travel.
