Santa Cruz County EMS providers have brought “quick-response vehicles” into service to assist with COVID-19-related medical calls.
Staffed by a paramedic and an EMT, the units cannot transport patients but will provide treatment and advice for patients suffering COVID or flu-like symptoms.
The number of Q-R-V’s that will be placed into service has not been announced.
