The santa cruz county sheriff’s department is investigating an attack on a man, which occurred outside Watsonville sunday morning. The victim was shot and stabbed, as he was assaulted just before 3 a.m., on tierra alta, (near harkins slough road and airport boulevard). The incident is believed to be gang-motivated, although it is not clear if the victim was a gang member. He is expected to survive his injuries.
