THE 20 BY 40 FOOT SINK HOLE IN THE RECREATION PATH, ON WEST CLIFF DRIVE, IN SANTA CRUZ, IS BEING REPAIRED. THE SINK HOLE, KNOWN AS THE SEA CAVE HOLE, OPENED UP DURING A LARGE STORM ON MARCH 1ST. SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN CORDONED OFF UNTIL CITY WORK CREWS COULD BEBIN REPAIRS ON JUNE 3RD. THE WORK IS EXPECTED TO TAKE ABOUT A MONTH TO PERFORM THE COMPLETE REPAIR. PUBLIC WORKS HAS ANNOUNCED JULY 4TH AS THE TARGET COMPLETION DATE.
