It looks as though the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf may be getting bigger. That’s because Santa Cruz City council members voted 5 – 2 last night to adopt a new Master Plan, that would guide its expansion over the next 20 to 30 years….including a proposed multi-story public building at the end of the wharf. Part of the reasoning for approving the new Master Plan, and the accompanying Environmental Impact Report, is that having the plan in place could lead to more grant opportunities for the 11.6 million dollars of needed repairs.
