(07:35) Santa Cruz – Authorities reported that 2 people were arrested after evidence linked them to a shooting that took place on Sunday night in Santa Cruz. At about 2200 officers responded to a call of shots being heard on the 100 block Myrtle Street. After reviewing surveillance video officers obtained a license plate number and located the vehicle and suspects on the 2200 block of Mission Street. During a search of the vehicle officers found 2 loaded firearms, a high-capacity magazine and crack cocaine. 24 year-old Frank Kuit and 25 year-old Hunter Everly were booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on multiple gun charges and drug charges.
