AN ARREST HAS BEEN IN CONNECTION WITH A STABBING THAT TOOK PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. AT AROUND 2 A-M A 20 YEAR OLD LIVE OAK MAN WAS STABBED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE CHEST AFTER AN ALTERCATION WITH A CO-WORKER ON THE 2-THOUSAND BLOCK OF SOQUEL AVENUE. POLICE REVIEWED VIDEO OF THE INCIDENT AND THE SUSPECT, DESCRIBED AS A 29 YEAR OLD TRANSIENT, WAS ARRESTED 20 MINUTES LATER IN SCOTTS VALLEY. THE VICTIM IS REPORTED AS STABLE IN A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER.
