The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Santa Cruz County Area. This advisory will take place from 4 a.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday February 7th. Sustained southerly winds of 20 to 40 mph with gust of up to 50 mph are expected. Gusts of up to 60 mph will also be possible at higher elevations. These winds can result in downed trees and power lines, and may cause difficult driving conditions. Residents are encouraged to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose or lightweight outdoor objects.
