Santa Cruz Librarians are expected to return back to work full-time. Santa Cruz County School District board members were able to restore over $132,000 for salaries of certificated librarians after last month’s state budget did not contain anticipated cuts to the class-size reduction program for kindergarten through 3rd grade students. Librarians’ hours this year were reduced to 70% of full-time at the district’s 4 elementary schools and 80% at the 2 middle schools.
