A santa cruz resident held a suspected burglar at gunpoint this (tues)morning, before police officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. At 3:40 a.m., the homeowner on the 3-hundred block of highland avenue heard his dog bark, and saw somebody on his front porch. The resident opened the door, and brandished a gun at the man. The suspect, 42-year-old ricky Vaughn hazen, was arrested on several charges, and booked into santa cruz county jail.
