A 3rd outbreak of Covid-19 in a skilled nursing facility in Santa Cruz county has been identified. 17 residents and 4 staff members have tested positive at Santa Cruz Post Acute. Although they have similar names, reportedly Watsonville Post Acute (where an earlier outbreak was identified), and Santa Cruz Post Acute (where the newer outbreak has occurred) are not affiliated.
There are currently 480 known active cases of the virus in Santa Cruz county, and 26 people have died.
