Authorities in Santa Cruz have announced plans to evict “occupy” protesters from san Lorenzo park. The santa cruz police department is seeking to require the protest group to acquire a permit to continue the demonstration. That permit would allow the campers to remain until November 16th, when the encampment is to be dismantled. The permit also would require the number of tents in the park to be reduced to 50, from about 100, and would bar protestors from using bathrooms at the park, and at the nearby county building.
