A Santa Cruz pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Thursday evening. At about 6:45 p.m.a vehicle collided into a pedestrian who was crossing Mission Street at King Street in a marked crosswalk. Officers located the vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Mission Street. The victim was a 45 year-old male from Santa Cruz County. His identity is being withheld at this time, pending next of kin notification. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Santa Cruz Police.
