S.C. OFFICER SAVES 67 Y/O WOMAN 01-18-11 18:50 a.v.

A woman was rescued over the weekend in Santa Cruz after a police officer kicked down a door to reach her. Authorities say the rescue occurred at around 11:30 Saturday morning on the 600 block of water Street when officers responded to call from Santa Cruz County’s Adult Mental Health Services after the woman’s family had not heard from her in 5 days. An officer was able to climb outside of the building and look through a skylight where he saw the woman collapsed on the bed. The 67-year old woman was revived by paramedics and taken to a hospital where she recovered.
