The Santa Cruz County Sheriffs office has assigned a group of deputies to enforce the social gathering and surfing bans in the Pleasure Point area. The move comes after it became apparent that the public was ignoring the shelter in place and ban on social gathering orders. The surfing ban could be lifted by next weekend.
