2 downtown santa cruz nightclubs were burglarized early monday morning. an alarm sounded at around 4 a.m. at motiv nightclub. when officers arrived, they found the dead bolt lock on the back door drilled out. another alarm was set off just after 7 a.m. at the blue lagoon nightclub where a door lock was drilled out as well. it is unclear if anything was stolen from either nightclub, an investigation is ongoing.
