a santa cruz woman who was shot friday in a suspected murder-suicide died sunday morning at a bay area medical center. the 88 year old woman was shot in the head by her 90 year old husband at their sims road home around 4 p.m. friday. the man turned the gun on himself after shooting his wife. their identities have not yet been released. the husband was found dead at the scene. investigators believe the motive was the couple’s deteriorating health. the couple’s home sits on an acre of land not far from brook knoll elementary school.
