a santa cruz parolee has been charged with the murder of a santa cruz woman. 63 year-old bruce clauer was arrsested in april after the dead body of 30 year-old heather stearns was found in his apartment. clauer was arrested on suspicion of a parole violation. he did not enter a plea at his court hearing yesterday. clauer is due back in court on october 15th to be appointed an attorney.
