Although the Santa Cruz Metro had planned to increase the number of riders on Metro buses starting next week, they have changed that plan in-part because of the continued increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. The Bus Drivers Union, and the Bus Riders Union have also challenged the increase, and so it has been paused for now. A judge is expected to make a ruling on what capacity of ridership is allowed on each length of bus in the Santa Cruz Metro Fleet.
