The Santa Cruz City Council gave the thumbs down on the housing corridor plan and instead decided to update two planning documents by next year.
The corridor plan called for higher density housing along Water street, Soquel Avenue, Mission and Ocean streets… where’s there’s already public transit.
Instead of the corridor plan, city planners were told to work on existing neighborhoods and focus on mixed development and more affordable housing.
