A Santa Cruz woman was arrested following a narcotics trafficking investigation on Friday. At about 12:30 p.m., deputies, accompanied by agents from the DEA and Homeland Security served a search warrant on the 3300 block of Axford Road. Authorities seized close to 5 ounces of heroin and 7 grams of methamphetamine, valued at $7,000. A loaded pistol was also found. 31-year-old Norma Garcia was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, drug sales, and child endangerment. Her 5 children have been placed in protective custody.
