A new electronic key system is currently being installed at the Santa Cruz Harbor. The system began being installed yesterday on all dock gates, restroom, and shower facilities. The ares will be accessible by electronic key fobs and key pads. The harbor office is providing a temporary key pad code for boaters until they obtain their new key fobs. The new system is expected to lower abuses of shower facilities and unauthorized dock access.
