The children of a Santa Cruz County woman were placed under Child Protective services last week after she was arrested on drug charges. 27-year old Heather Stewart was seen Friday leaving her one-and-a-half year old and 4-year old toddler alone in a car parked in a driveway of a residence on Empire Road . Stewart, who was later pulled over for having expired registration, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested for drug influence and child endangerment and was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
