Over 100 Santa Cruz County residents gathered last night to hear a discussion about a possible desalination plant in the city. Opponents call the plant a waste of money while supporters of the plant say it’s needed, especially during a severe drought. Both sides, however did agree that the ultimate decision rests with the voters.
