For the second year in a row, the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County has received an art works grant for the National Endowment for the Arts. The council received $40,000 from the organization to support its grant making program to fund local theater, music, dance, literary and visual art activities in Santa Cruz County. The Cultural Council distributed $137,000 in grants to artists and art organization last year, and this grant from the NEA will allow them to give a second round of grants themselves. The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County is one of just 788 non-profit organizations nationwide to receive the endowment.
