A Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office correctional officer was arrested this week. 35-year-old Jenna Baldwin was arrested on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an inmate and assault by a public officer.
The Sheriff’s Office said Baldwin was arrested Sunday evening and booked into the Santa Cruz County Main Jail.
The sheriff’s office said it began investigating the case in May after detectives received word that Baldwin was having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate from the Santa Cruz jail.
Baldwin, who had worked for the sheriff’s office since 2008, is no longer employed there.
