Santa Cruz County is holding a COVID-19-safe town hall meeting for residents who have questions about the potential for winter debris flow events. In rainy seasons following severe fires, the risks from flooding, mudflows and debris flows are significantly elevated, posing a threat to life and property. Residents are invited to learn more by attending the following event. The meeting is on Saturday at 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at th 701 Ocean Street parking lot, in Santa Cruz masks will be required.
