P.G. & E. is working to contact customer s who are past due on their bill. In Santa Cruz county that’s reportedly 4 percent of customers. In San Benito county, that’s 6 percent, and in Monterey county that number is just under 6 percent. All of that means that people owe millions of dollars to the utility. P.G. & E. official s know that many of their customers have lost income due to the pandemic, so they are offering payment plans.
