Evacuations orders and evacuation warnings have been issued in the Santa Cruz mountains, and evacuation warnings, that are likely to be upgraded to evacuation orders have been issued in Monterey county. In all cases these evacuations are in the areas of the burn scars from last summers fires, and the concern is the possible damage that debris flows could do to homes and infrastructure in those areas….and that people may be trapped in (or away from) their homes….due to trees and power lines coming down on the roadways.
