A competency hearing is under way in a Santa Cruz County Courtroom. Today, testimony began to determine the sanity of accused murderer 42-year-old James Roland Henderson. Henderson has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity for the June 2013 murders of his parents at their Aptos home. The hearing continues tomorrow at 1:30 in Santa Cruz County Superior Court.
