The Santa Cruz County order requiring mandatory use of cloth face masks in some circumstances goes into effect tomorrow (Saturday).
Face coverings, which include homemade masks, neck gaiters, bandanas, and other cloth covering the nose and mouth must be worn inside businesses and government offices where workers interact with the public and each other. This includes stores, food takeout, and healthcare facilities.
Children aged 12 and under are exempt as are outdoo9r situations where 6 feet of separation can be maintained.
