The Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce is surveying local businesses about the effects of recent power shutdowns by PG&E.
There were three shutdowns in the county last month that sometimes left residents and businesses without power for several days at a time.
The chamber would like to place an estimated dollar amount on how businesses were hurt by the shutdowns. The chamber wants to know about how much businesses spent on lost inventory, store closings, employee overtime, and other metrics.
The anonymous survey will be open until Dec. 7. When complete, the chamber of commerce said it will publish the data.
