A suspected bicycle thief was arrested by Santa Cruz Sheriff’s deputies on Friday. In response to rising bike thefts around Santa Cruz a sting operation is underway through out the area. The operation consist of decoy bicycles equipped with GPS trackers placed in high theft areas. On Friday deputies tracked one of the stolen bait bikes and arrested Kelly Ostlund on suspicion of theft. Ostlund was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
