A Santa Cruz County attorney has been sentenced for the Elder Abuse of his wife, for whom he had been the sole caretaker for several years. When found by Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies, and officers with Adult protective Services, in April of 2016, Robin Douglas Dakan’s wife (Linda) was lying in her bed, emaciated and severely dehydrated….with her body fused to the bed sheets. Her body was covered with feces, insects and bedsores. The victim said that she had not been out of bed for 2 years, and that her hair had not been washed, nor had she been bathed, in that entire time. Dakan was sentenced to spend 2 years in prison.
