San Benito County Supervisors have approved spending 10-thousand dollars, to study the idea of combining the county’s 9-1-1 dispatch center with Santa Cruz County’s. The move is being considered as a cost-saving measure. Some believe the streamlined process will help cut unnecessary spending, however others believe that the move could reduce response times in the County. If approved, Santa Cruz County’s dispatch center would be the 1st in the state to coordinate calls from multiple counties.
