a number of elected officials in san benito county are set to accept pay cuts. four elected department heads are set to accept the cuts, 5 percent from july to june 2012, and an additional 5 percent taking effect in january. the officials include assessor tom slavich, treasurer mary lou andrade, clerk joe paul gonzalez, and district attorney candice hooper.
