While San Benito county leaders want to quadruple the size of the county’s landfill over time, others aren’t so sure about that aim…..so county leaders are discussing a smaller increase in size and capacity….for now. The small increase would give them time to further study the potential environmental impacts of a larger expansion of the John Smith Landfill. They are expected to discuss the smaller increase at their meeting today.
