In Santa Clarita this morning, students are mourning the loss of two students killed and several wounded in a hail of gunfire at Saugus high school yesterday.
While the 16-year old shooter is not being identified, those who knew him say that he was a normal kid. He shot himself in the head and is in critical condition. Yesterday was his birthday. He is not expected to survive.
Investigators say guns had been seized from the shooters home in the past, following a visit by a mental health professional for his father. His father has since passed away and the suspect has been living with his mother.
