STUFF-THE-BOOT SATURDAY!
A “Thank You” fundraiser for the Volunteer Fire Departments of Santa Cruz County
WHO: Santa Cruz County says “Thank you” to its volunteer fire departments and firefighters for their efforts in the Lighting Complex fires.
WHAT: Those who wish to express their gratitude to the volunteer fire departments of Santa Cruz County are invited to participate in a drive-thru “Stuff-the-Boot” event Saturday, October 17, from 1 pm to 5 pm in the parking lot of KSCO Radio.
Volunteer firefighters will be on hand to direct traffic, say hello and accept stuff-the-boot donations.
Stuff-the-Boot is being organized by KSCO Saturday afternoon program hosts Patti Clark of the Clark’s Treasure Hunt Show and Cami Corvin of Think Local First Radio.
From 2 pm to 3 pm, the Clark’s Treasure Hunt Show will feature an auction of a 60-year old vintage Smokey The Bear toy (attached), with all proceeds going to the volunteer fire department fund.
Both Clark’s Treasure Hunt and Think Local First Radio will feature conversations with fire department chiefs and volunteer firefighters.
