Monologue:

Doctor Wallach discusses a recent press release from the NIH (National Institutes of Health) that states in cannot find any research to support a recommendation that people should take daily multivitamins. Although, NIH also stated they would not recommend people already taking mulitivitamins should stop taking them. Doc asserts that this is at least a step in the right direction. Because the NIH is preparing to conduct their own study and in the past had stated that supplements did no good in preventing disease.

Dr. Wallach and Doug discuss a news article regarding a victim of a recent clinical drug trial. Ryan Wilson participated in a trial of drugTGN`1412 and immediately had multiple organ failure along with 5 other participants. Wilson the most severely affected was unconscious for three weeks and will lose parts of his fingers and toes.
