Santa Cruz County Sheriff Phil Wowack announced that he would not be running for re election shortly before the deadline for others to file their candidacy. Was this an attempt by the outgoing sheriff to hand pick the heir apparent, Jim Hart, or is it just a case of unfortunate timing? All three candidates were invited to ZBS Studios.
