A SANTA CRUZ MAN WAS RESCUED AFTER FALLING OFF A CLIFF’S EDGE YESTERDAY. FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED ON WEST CLIFF DRIVE AT CHICO AVENUE FOLLOWING A REPORT OF A SUBJECT CLINGING ONTO THE ROCKS AFTER FALLING INTO THE WATER. TWO RESCUE SWIMMERS BROUGHT THE MAN TO SHORE, WHERE HE WAS TREATED FOR HYPOTHERMIA BEFORE BEING TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REMINDS THE PUBLIC IT IS DANGEROUS ALONG THE CLIFFS WITH UNEVEN TERRAIN AND SLIPPERY SURFACES.
