Water restrictions will soon be coming to the city of Santa Cruz. The shortage alert will start May first and run through October thirty-first. 2017 saw record breaking storms for Santa Cruz County but, 2018 has been dry since the rainfall last month. Some restrictions under the stage 1 alert will include no landscape watering between certain hours, and restaurants can only serve water upon request.
