A Santa Cruz big-wave surfer will soon be arraigned on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. 47-year-old Ken Collins was ticketed last month after confronting a Los Gatos man at the surfing spot, The Hook. Collins allegedly grabbed the man and pushed him. No one was injured. Collins is an invitee to the Titans of Mavericks surf contest and a long time big-wave competitor.
