THE SANTA CRUZ CITY COUNCIL IS SCHEDULED TO VOTE ON THE RANGE OF THE PACIFIC AVENUE SMOKING BAN. THE CITY COUNCIL IS SET TO VOTE ON A PROPOSAL, BROUGHT FORTH BY SOME DOWNTOWN BUSINESS OWNERS, TO EXTEND THE AREA OF THE ORIGINAL 2009 BAN OF SMOKING, ON THE PACIFIC AVENUE MALL, TO STETCH 1 BLOCK ON EITHER SIDE OF PACIFIC AVENUE. OTHER ISSUES ON THIS TUESDAY’S AGENDA ARE THE FATE OF SOME DOWNTOWN HERITAGE TREES, STREET VENDOR REGULATION, AND RENTAL HOUSING INSPECTIONS. THE MEETING IS SCHEDULED TO START AT 2 P-M, IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS LOCATED AT 809 CENTER STREET.
